Through a lovely series of connected things, I have landed upon Nine Mountain Retreat. It is in lovely Western Mass. Very close to where I held the Temenos Retreat. What I keep picturing changes often. But I feel very excited about Nine Mountain, as well as relieved. I spoke on the phone today with one of the owner’s and it felt great.
They require a fairly large deposit up front…so I am choosing to use the perspective of “wait and see”. Will it land all the way? Wait and see. All I know is that it feels right to picture the retreat in this lovely space. And now I will wait and see what momentum does next.
So far I have 3 days for a length. All healthy homecooked meals are provided. Sometime in October or early November. There are over 40 acres of land to explore. A beautiful facility that would be just for our group. Outdoor sauna’s and hot tubs. I mean…doesn’t that sound lovely already? Before you even add in all the wonderful people…
Here is what I am feeling into…this is where the question mark rests…the invitation. To whom? For what? A space to share silence and those who want to share silence? Yes. A space for Silent Darshan? Yes, for those who want it.
A few other things come to mind though. I would love to make it a retreat specifically for those who have undergone Kundalini Awakenings. Every single one of my client’s who have undergone intense awakening are, for the most part, isolated. They wonder where others like them are. They hear that I speak with others just like them and they say things like “I wish I knew someone like that.” So, yes. I mean YES…I’d love to make this a place and time where people who have had intense Kundalini Awakening experiences could find support, relaxation, yoga, harmony and other folks who have been through similar things.
I would love there to be enough people there so that those who want to spend time with others can easily find them. And I feel that there is enough space there for people to find isolation and privacy whenever they desire it.
For me, I would also love to share the same kinds of things I share with all clients, in a group setting…moving from initiation towards thriving…from thriving towards grounding…and from grounding into the next initiation. How to work with poetry, dance, movement, yoga, relationships, nature and the past to support the process. I also end up working with a lot of people who are, themselves, “teachers”. Would it not be great for them to have a space to let it go? Hmmm…how to bring this all together? For I would also love just for anyone who wishes to be there…to be there. Invite them all…come up with a title that encompasses and welcomes all of it? Wait and see. All I know is that the space only landed today. So, now for the rest, all in good time. But I am committed to this space being the next space I offer a retreat for more than 4 people.
This space can accomodate up to 26 people. I honestly don’t know what I would do with that many people. I have tended to work with very small groups….the largest being 12 for a weekend at a time. Wait and see.
I look forward to all of it. What I look forward to the most though is sitting in present silence with anyone who wishes to. I would not say it is my favorite way to “teach”. Quite simply, it is my favorite way to be…with others. Silence, looking, smiling, crying…whatever-it’s all love.
If you know of anyone who may want to attend this event, though no date is set yet…forward this posting along. Know of anyone struggling with an unplanned and sudden awakening experience who may wish to attend this..or perhaps you? Who knows, I may fill it up with participants first and then set the date
Share away friends…I think this will be one to remember.
